at The Resort at Paws Up

An intimate, cozy, and romantic autumn day under the Montana sky with our immediate family members and our dog felt like the most fitting way to spend our first day as husband and wife. It was the first time our family really got to know each other and I feel like experiencing this day together formed a bond between the 11 of us. The ceremony spot was on a dramatic cliff hanging over the Blackfoot River decorated with a gorgeous arbor covered with eucalyptus and soft fall colored roses. Our guests stood around us during the ceremony while our dog chased squirrels down the mountain. My Dad as the officiant made it even more special as he was able to share personal stories about both of us as well as things we had shared to him about the other person. The bridal bouquet had burgundy foliage with woody stems, local Montana wildflowers, roses, and sagey greens which and a whimsical look and feel. After the ceremony we enjoyed drinks appetizers, and s’mores around an open fire in an field of fall colored hills followed by a horse drawn carriage ride to dinner.
